Charles’ Successful Job Interview

A new life after life.

THE FIESTA 13

Take a squat, Charles.

Wow, thanks. I’m so excited to be here, when can I teach Jesus about Hacky Sack and The Great Replacement Theory?

Great Replacement Theory?

It’s not a Great Replacement Theory, it’s a Great Replacement Reality. Just this year, 3.6 million foreigners will invade America. 10-15 million will enter by the end of Joe Biden’s term. Each will probably have 3-5 kids on average while native born Americans have 1.5 per couple. You are being replaced, by design.

Well, um, Jesus is pretty busy these days preparing for his triumphant return. Armageddon’s just about here, you know. I’ll check about the hackey sack, maybe after the pow-crash-burn, I’ll get back to you.

Yea, yea. Dammit, no offense, I’ll miss his return. I really wanted to see the heathens suffer. Bad people bad. Bad people suffer. We can watch from up here, right?

You’ll BE participating. Don’t worry. Around here we just instituted The New Societal Priority Office of Homogeneity, Prejudice & Exclusion. HPE. Thinking someday you’ll head up out Our Abolish Learning Initiative

Learning shouldn’t be for everyone, faith is simple. Right. You never finished college, so let the innocent lead us. The innocent like you, a washed baby fish. Good through ignorance and naivety.

I don’t know about innocent, but thank you. I am but your humble servant. M’Lord. Naive and good as the newly-born new born.

Master, Charles. Master. Remember, we know everything about you, your hidden thoughts, your secret actions, the farts you take & all the times you masturbated at church. Looking at the footage, gotta say, pretty creative forgiven sins.

…A switcheroo on the grand tradition of The Priest-Alter Boy setup…

Ok, times short. End times and all. Few questions, while we know your full record—good, better and much worse—-A few more questions for clarification. Paperwork.

A highlight reel. A documented clip reel of your public life, all sourced, if you will.

Cool. I am an open podcast. …And, Begin.

Let’s start…Are black people attacking white people?

Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.

Even black pilots?

If I see a Black pilot, I’m gonna be like, ’Boy, I hope he’s qualified.

Huh. C’mon surely they’re qualified. Everyone must pass the same training, black, white, man, woman.

Camera. TV. Hah, I’m smart. Not black women, They’re coming out, and they’re saying, ‘I’m only here because of affirmative action.’ Yeah, we know. You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.

We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the mid-1960s.

Enemies define a-cough-Child of God as any positive actions.

Action Round Time:

Democrats?

The Democrat Party supports everything that God hates.

Muslims?

They aren’t even hiding their intentions. Muslims plan to conquer Europe by demographic replacement. Will Europe wake up in time?

Palenstine?

I don’t think the place exists.???

Feminists?

Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge.

My name’s not Taylor, it’s Master to you.

Yes Master, sorry Master.

Speaking of names, Martin Luther King?

MLK was awful. He’s not a good person. He said one good thing he actually didn’t believe.

George Floyd?

This guy was a scumbag.

Miss Rachel?

You might want to crack open that Bible of yours. In a lesser referenced part of the same part of scripture, is in Leviticus 18 is that, ‘thou shalt lay with another man shall be stoned to death.’ Just sayin’! So Miss Rachel, you quote Leviticus 19… the chapter before affirms God’s perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.

No empathy for a woman who’s dedicated her life to children?

I can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made up new age term that does a lot of damage.

Even to God’s Chosen Children?

Jewish donors have been the number one funding mechanism of radical open-border, neoliberal, quasi-Marxist policies, cultural institutions and nonprofits. This is a beast created by secular Jews and now it’s coming for Jews, and they’re like, ‘What on Earth happened?’ And it’s not just the colleges. It’s the nonprofits, it’s the movies, it’s Hollywood, it’s all of it.

Now, young Slave, focus. focus. What should be done?

[The death penalty] should be public, should be quick, should be televised… I think at a certain age, it’s an initiation… At what age should you start to see public executions?

Your death could’ve been written by Rod Serling in its unintended irony.

It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment.

You certainly lived & died by that value. Turns out, death still comes for us all.

That’s why I have faith in you, Jesus.

Master.

Master Jesus.

That’s about all. On a lighter note, your Master is transgender.

You’re an abomination to God.

Sure, sure. Since faith without works is dead. Even HPE’s gotta start some where. In fact, as. an advantaged HPE, you’ve got a shorter ladder to success. A real leg up the poors & coloreds don’t deserve.

White Christian Nationalist American Male Master Jesus! Heaven is my destiny!

Heaven. Ooooo-kay. Destiny. Yes. Definitely. Like The Seventh Son Destiny.

Here’s the paperwork for your new job, a one eternity contract:

Third Assistant CumBucket Clean Lick Tech, Probationary in The Caligula Room.

Meeting over.

Caligula? I don…Gargggaaaachchchch.

As always, we end every meeting with a gargling of The Master’s Glorious Sack.

Take an ape quiz.

The Fiesta 13 is currently genitals-deep in our Everything Horror sub-guide. The first The Fiesta 13’s The Big List: Everything Horror. We have 200 chronological horror movies (5 game boards) from 1902-1937. Each horror movie is part of the game with clues to guess the movie. Our current completed movie guide is 2,000 movies between 1902-1937. The semi-completed full guide has 17,000 movies currently.

We’re also making a separate Film Noir guide & a separate guide for all riffed material (MST3K, Rifftrax, etc.

The thirties certainly were the time of the gorilla. Every fourth horror movie involved apes. Usually with Bela Lugosi.

To give a small taste of the game (no game board), here’s four ape movies with 3 clues apiece.

The four movies:

  1. The Horror
  2. The Gorilla
  1. The House of Mystery
  2. The Monster Walks

Match the movies with these clues.

———————————————————————————

A. A series of murders that take place in an old, dark mansion are suspected of being committed by an ape.

B. Joe Frisco, Lila Lee, ♦️♥️♣️

C. While the film itself remains lost, three short clips have been found of a man in the ape suit, looming ominously above a cityscape in two of them.

——————————————————————————————————

2.

A. A young woman in a creepy old house is terrorized by a killer and an ape-like monster.

B. Leslie King,Reed Brown Jr., ♥️

C. In 1944, eleven years after its original release, director Bud Pollard drastically re-cut the film, reshaping it from a horror film into a temperance film titled “John the Drunkard.” Bud Pollard himself narrates this version to “fill in the gaps,” as he puts it. This shortened version survives in the collection of The Library of Congress.

——————————————————————————————————-

3.

A. An ancient curse and a killer ape are contained inside an old dark mansion.

B. Ed Lowry, IT STRUCK FROM THE TOMB!, The film was an adaptation of the play The Ape by Adam Hull Shirk.

C. HOUMY

——————————————————————————————————-

A. People in an old dark house on a stormy night are menaced by a killer ape.

B. Mischa Auer, Rex Lease, Willie Best

C. This film features the word “Damn”, six year and ten months before Gone with the Wind (1939). At 23:49 seconds, the phrase “Damned Old Hypocrite” is used.

Some of the clues reference the game board.

Saw Buddy last weekend. A Fiesta 8/13. We liked it, could have gone farther without explanation, but that’s what sequels are about.

Every movie we watch, we write a rough review in our head.

We now have 118 movie reviews, we remember, to write before Buddy. None of which we now remember the original rough review.

Plus, we’ve been working on our movie guide game. The first Everything Horror Guide & Game covers 1902-1937 & has over 200 movies, all horror, many on Youtube. Writing clues all day.

Every review of Buddy mentions Too Many Cooks (A Fiesta 10), but we like this one by the director better. Can never remember the name, but it does go all the way to an extreme end. A Fiesta 11/13.

Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma

A Fiesta 11/13

♥️♦️♼

Do you remember the first time you masturbated to orgasm? The day before, a mystery. The sex pictures look painful. What is going on? A Cronenbergian nightmare. Why why why would anyone do this? Were you taught or a self-discovery? How? Fear mixed with anticipation. The surprise of the unknown inside yourself. What will be revealed?

Coded male, The Fiesta 13 damn near hit the ceiling the first time. Cronenbergian indeed.

Horror & sex intertwined. Horror movie plots are often ‘scene-death-scene-death,’ while porn is ‘scene-sex-scene-sex’. The pattern of both genres, building until release, define the dynamic of dealing with the unknown. Fear and anticipation. The greater the tension, the greater the release.

Little Death is French slang for sex & the killer in TS&DCM directly linking sex & death.

Hannah Einbinder’s character is a self-described filmmaker. She says she’s a filmmaker every time she describes herself, more re-affirmation than plain statement. This is the box she puts herself in to define herself. She’s the third wheel in a polygamous relationship with a woman she might love & mustachioed hipster. Retreating into horror is her safe space. She’s hired to reboot a long-running Zombie IP, Camp Miasma, into a fresh new LGBTQ-friendly take. Camp Miasma mythology is a less empathetic, more transphobic take on the twist in  Sleepaway Camp & the studio only wants known properties.

We’d describe Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma as a coming of age horror-comedy. Even though Hannah is in her thirties, she’s yet to develop a sex life with the queer moniker more label than sexuality.

In short, she’s sacrificed love for career.

Hannah’s idea is to recast the Camp Miasma’s original final girl in the lead. Since she was eight, Hannah’s been obsessed with the Camp Miasma movies. There’s a look in the final girl’s eye before she’s attacked Hannah interprets as the key to the soul & the beginning of her sexuality. Hannah’s haunted by the look, desiring the heady mix of terror, sex & life of impending death implied in the eyes. Living on the razor-blade’s edge of life & death is truly living fully. We sublimate our death fears into love and life to deal with the pain.

One of our favorite actresses, Gillian Anderson plays a southern-fried Norma Desmond, a Dolly Desmond if you will. Other characters describe her as Norma, a recluse. She was the first final girl in the Camp Miasma series, the process of making the movie drove her into seclusion. She lives at camp Tivoli, the filming site of the horror series. Like Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, she screens her movies, wears headbands & lives in an artificial bubble away from the world.

Different than Gloria Swanson, Gillian’s not interested in building a golden cage around Hannah the way Gloria does with William Holden in an act of desperate love. Hannah’s the one engaging with Gillian, interpreting the world through horror movies, Hannah pretty quickly mythologizes Gillian. Gillian responds by introducing Hannah to the magic of vibrating genitals allowing Hannah to recreate & feeling the look in Gillian’s final girl’s eyes. Sex + Death = Love.

Hannah eventually comes-of-age by leaving the artificial horror setting, soaked in blood, a new and alive. Death is the freedom of a defined self-ordained life.

The set-up of the movie could have easily fell into sophistic meta-ness like the progressively collapsing meta of the Scream series. Director Jane Schoenbaum avoids these pitfalls by setting the movie in an artificial setting. Backgrounds are movie murals. Food is junk food. All of the minor characters are outsized cartoon tropes, easy to kill, there to fulfill the promise of sex and death. Unlike Scream, the characters are horror fans, not characters who know they’re in a horror movie. (How come Scream-ers still die knowing they are in a horror movie? Leave town, idiots.) The intentional artificiality places the story on a different plane where dreams & reality mix. The movie ends up a memory & restart for Hannah.

We also rewatched Sunset Boulevard the next day. Change a few references, this movie is as relevant as ever in its critique of stardom, the business of Hollywood, and fading fame. A classic for a reason.

A Useful Ghost

(A Fiesta 12/13)
♦️♥️♣️♼
Academic Ladyboy buys a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum coughs at night. A repairman appears instantly. He tells Academic Ladyboy the love story of Nat & March.
As some anonymous people say, you haven’t fully lived life without an embarrassing household appliance story. A tongue in the blender blades, foot in the waffle iron, nipples and genitals in the sucking vacuum cleaner hose. Secrets for close friends. A hard-to-explain welt. Objectophilia beyond the vibrator.
A clever & often shocking satire, A Useful Ghost develops the three-word premise, Haunted Vacuum Cleaner, into a satire of our relationship to inanimate objects, capitalism, human rights, homophobia, religion, memory & Taiwanese politics. One key to successful satire is full commitment to the details of the premise outward to the absurd ends. Ghosts exists. Humans gotta deal with the annoyance. Bureaucrats still have rules to enforce, even for ghosts.
Nat dies in a miscarriage, leaving her husband March despondent. Tok, a factory worker in March’s family factory, dies at work & possesses factory equipment in vengeance. Tok relishes the gremlin role as a way to continue sleeping with his boyfriend in dreams & punish the factory for his death.
Nat possesses a vacuum cleaner to be with March. She’s a good ghost. Nat only wants to take care of March. March’s stone-faced mother hates March sleeping with a ghost. To the outside world watching, he’s fucking a vacuum cleaner. March sees Nat as human-y & Nat can speak to all the living.
Ever the extreme capitalist, March’s mom finds a way to make Nat A Useful Ghost.Useful is a synonym for exploitation. A Useful Ghost’s world is divided into owner, worker & ghosts. A Useful Ghost pairs thematically with Boots Riley’s I Love Boosters in capitalist critique.Workers are masked & anonymous. A capitalist’s commodity. The capitalists represented by March’s stoic mother & her brother & sister-in-laws, selling haunted vacuum cleaners to an unsuspecting populace. The ghosts are the space between worker & owner.
Ghosts come back to be remembered or because someone remembered the human enough to bring the ghost back. Ghosts are ignored problems, flaws in the system. Ghosts are the messy human reanimated remnants of life. Ghosts can change.
Ghosts affect the living. Do ghosts, as agents in this world, have rights? Can they own property? Get married? Vote? Be prosecuted & punished for crimes? Are human rights the proof of consciousness?
A Useful Ghost, like a useful human is just another exploited worker.
On Midnight Pulp. Worth watching.
$$$
In Blaine, NE, ghosts don’t exist, but clones do. In the mid-50’s, the top 13 percent, the Logogarchs, were the first to purchase clones of themselves. The clones in the ’50’s were primarily used for body parts & ‘self-sex.’ Soon, the logogarchs used their clones to fake assassinations, bigamy, CEO shady businesses & spread their wealth to ‘newly discovered’ family members. Clones were also the face of The New Natality movement. Bone Skum, Lone’s father, used his 500+ clones to impregnate over 10,000 women in six years.
By 1960, the gub’ment started to regulate the Logoligarch’s ‘ghost identities.’ The clones or ‘Man-Generated Slaves’ were counted as 2/5ths of their owner. Since many of The Logogarchs were determined to be 9/5ths of a person purchased through wealth, their clones often had more rights than natural birthright workers.
Clones, developed in part from the impotency crisis of the ’40’s, had to be mass sterilized in 1962 as their thin DNA could be stirred with fork like broth & 1 out of 3 clone births looked like Dr. Moreau’s nursery, mutants neither human nor fully beast. Deprived of sex, the clone uprising of 1963 tried to return clones to more sex-friendly work.
Due to a factory error, over 30,000 Annette Funicellos were released into the wild. Although hidden, Funicello’s Amazons still exist as military instillation & Disnee-branded property. Somewhere.
You can still sleep with Annette or double team with an authorized Frankie. Visit the Boomerland Amusement Park & scrape off some Annette today.
The elite clone craze mostly died out when 1960’s extreme body modification with nerve-tripling sensations enflamed The Logogarch’s new & improved genitals, leaving clones to the day-traders.

Send Help

(A Fiesta 8)

♦️♼

Let’s talk about the ending. No, we’re not spoiling the ending. However, Send Help’s ending reinforces only Capitalism in a movie, supposedly, satirizing corporate life.

Distant off-brand Marvel-named character Linda Liddle (Racheal McAdams) is form-molded into the put-upon, passed over workhorse character her douchey bosses continually abuse. Hair-up: mousy, socially awkward wallflower. Hair down: Amazon Warrior Queen. The sexy librarian trope.

Simple set-up. After a plane crash, the power dynamic reverses as McAdams plays out her Survivor fantasy-porn & has to care for her asshole boss. Of course, Lil Liddle is a master survivalist with God-like knowledge. Every slight in the first act, doubled & revenged in the second & third act.

The boss has zero redeemable qualities and the story arc of a straight line to nowhere. She should have left him on the beach at the beginning of act two. Audience investment lies solely with McAdams. A story designed to satiate & sublimate wage slave rage through McAdams eyes. Yet, apes the corporate cages employees put themselves in to succeed.

McAdams is great in the increasingly implausible role as a power corrupted underling. We’ve been a fan of hers since the under-seen old B-movie Red Eye.

About mid-movie, as the plot is stuck in the second gear of domination and revenge, we started thinking about the ending. The kick-off third act twist went nowhere. There’s one ending that would have been the absolute worst. Fortunately, Send Help didn’t do that one. We also picked the ending we felt would be the best, just & nail the movie’s slight corporate satire themes. Nope.

In AMERIKA!, you are your job. Your only job is to get a better job, so you are a better person. Send Help tells us, what you do doesn’t matter as much if you become successful. Successful people ARE worthy of any crime.

Obligatory Raimi comment: Every review we saw used the following two words: ‘Fun’ & ‘Popcorn’. Popcorn, yes. Fun, for a while. Send Help felt like a lower-budget, lesser Raimi, focused on pacing, editing & motion. An exercise in film making, not film.

What did you think?

Did the ending disappoint or was it ‘fun?’

Some on the new movies for August 2026

Cat Mate 002 (Bootsey) scratched up a theater chair yesterday to remind us, time once again for the new movie trailer reel. Thanks, Boots. Watch before a movie for a full movie night.

Which would you see? Watch The Trailer Reel on YouTubed:

HERE

Put the speaker back, Bootsey, sit, we’ll watch & write:

No:

The End of Oak Street …But, it’s a biiig movie. Yea, they were too lazy to go to Jurassic Park, so they CGI’d Jurassic Park to them. Also, like the recent JP’s, many, many completely innocent people die as our heroes flee. Heroes live!

The Dog Stars Another we’re-the-last-survivors-in-the-apocalypse movie. Do movie studios think we just want MORE apocalypse & Red Dawn-style, we’ll rise up against the enemy-within, movies? Not every Ridley Scott movie is a classic. This feels ‘feel-goody’ in a kill-everyone sort of way.

Nimrods Green Day comedy. Out of all the sell-out pop punk bands of the late ’90’s, Green Day earned their success & didn’t sell out. We’ve just seen this fanzine road-trip movie. We’d be happy to be wrong.

The Run No one in the making of The Run must have seen Children of Men or was told about the rough plot of Children of Men. That’s the only explanation for this gigantic Children of Men rip-off.

The Legend of The White Dragon Loving homage to Power Rangers-kaju 90’s Sci-fi or crap? Either way…

Maybe:

The Last House Interesting premise. Like The End of Oak Street, you, your family & your house are transplanted or unharmed as the world becomes deadly. The notion of your house, the property-owning sanctuary of the privileged, is your savior from savages. Hmmm, trend, movie execs?

Late Fame Willem DaFoe stars as a poet with brief fame decades ago, embraced by a new group of fans. Whit Stilman territory. Sweet or sinister?

The Boy from Below A count-the-references horror comedy. Dee Wallace. Looks fun. Too aware, like a bad Scream sequel, hope not. We’ll watch on streaming.

Idiots The trailer says little about the plot, but was cleverly edited with idiocy.

Hot Spot Feels different than the other trailers. Another post apocalypse movie. Dark horse favorite?

Yes:

TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA Gillian Anderson as a crazy/sexy southern actress. Here’s money. A Cabin in The Woodsvibe of a horror deconstruction movie. Haven’t seen Jane Schoenbrun’s other movies, will catch up. Kind of excited about this one.

Ice Cream Man We’ll watch on streaming. Kids violently murdering adults, always a crowd pleaser. Eli Roth’s last movie, the one about Black Friday, was uninspired, this looks bananas.

Colony Train to Busan is enough to want to see this different take on zombies. An alien race or zombies with collective intelligence, a proto-Pluribus

With a new Nicolas Winding Refn movie, Her Private Hell, coming out, we’re reminded he had a site of restored old small, weird movies. We watched a restored version of one of the best early ‘60’s nudie comedies, House on Bare Mountain.

Is the site still around? Didn’t find it with a simple search.

About this time every month, we look at what’s leaving The Criterion Channel. Here’s six recommendations:

Have a rom-com screwball Saturday starting with one of the best,

His Girl Friday (A Fiesta 12/13) Then, two Tracey/Hepburn comedies: Woman of The Year (A Fiesta 11) & Desk Set (A Fiesta 10)

On Sunday, A Cat People double feature.

The original Cat People (A Fiesta 11/13) & the sexy remake (A Fiesta 11/13)

Cut together montage of 1950’s Communist Scare Propaganda both shorts & movies with Beloved Lead Congressbot Mikey Johns latest quotes about Communist DSA, Chicken-fried Kennedy & others. Clips at 3.

We’re day dreaming about working in Seth Meyer’s graphics department. Love the graphics! Day dreaming like I’m Peter O’Toole in My Favorite Year.

Anyone please steal this idea. Seems obvious. The montage part.

Seth could totally have Kennedy scream at Mee-maw in a possession or something better.

Last night, The Fiesta 13 had an epiphany. A breakthrough on the game. Our heads are exploding. It’s disgusting.

We’ve created a movie trivia game. In each of The MoGuGaZines are two game boards. Here’s a fast overview:

Each player gets 13 numbered reels (tokens). There’s 13 questions. Each question has three clues:

The first is the IMDB description. The second clue is three names (people, places, things) in the movie. The third clue is grab-bag; taglines, quotes, scenes, riffs, etc.

Gail Daughtry & The Celebrity Sex Pass

A Fiesta 10/13

♦️♼

Here’s the IMDB description:

When her fiancé uses their “celebrity pass” agreement, Midwest bride Gail Daughtry travels to Hollywood seeking revenge by pursuing her own celebrity encounter.

Honestly, scrolling through choices, we’d skip it. Dumb premise that’s been done.

Then we saw the trailer & realized it’s all the people from The State. We loved the trailer.

We’re in..

A State Saturday. Let’s rewatch a classic…

Wet Hot American Summer

A Fiesta 12/13

We bloodlessly finger-slit that cellophane on the blu-ray (yay) & threw it in the XXXBOXXX. We bought the blu-ray for the extras, but hadn’t seen WHAS in a decade. Fortunately, fading memory, we forgot many of the best jokes & hyena-laughed a 90 solid minutes. WHAS is the rare comedy where there’s something funny in every single frame. Usually in the background. Also, no fat. We counted twice where a bit went on maybe ten seconds too long.

That’s a goddamn miracle only exceeded by 1930’s classic screwball comedies in LPM (Laughs Per Minute).

Fantastic cast all firing, but a special shout-out to the kids in the movie. Rock stars all.

Which nerd are you? Which character are you in Wet Hot?

We were (are) about 50% broadcast nerd—we shower at least once a month, breaking the movie’s accurate stereotype—the other half,  a dollop of every other nerd represented: D&D, Theater, Goth, Comedy, Weirdo. The only nerd missing is the horror nerd. Friday the 13th Pt. 2 had just come out for the kids. We felt the most affinity for Jeanne Garofalo’s camp leader character. Her & Michael Showalter are the movie’s heart for us. Paul Rudd is the funniest, overplaying the full sexy douche mode, the same character just 5 months less mature than his 200 Cigarettes charactera restrained sexy douche.

Also, WHAS has the maximum amount of sloppy, wet French kissin’ allowed by comedy law.

The Unfair Comparison:

Gail Daughtry & The Celebrity Sex Pass

If you liked WHAS, you’ll like this. Promise. After a slow intro, naive Gail catches her fiancee in flagrante delicto with his celebrity of opportunity sex pass. Besides the cookbook jokes, lame sex pick, guy. We’ll pass. Gail decides to find Jon Hamm on a trip to LA & make him her sex pass. Now, that’s a choice we agree with! We’re with ‘ya. Let’s go.

So, hairdresser Dorothy (Gail) heads to LA with her hairdresser friend (Toto) to fuck Hamm. One of the running jokes is everyone completely understands her Sex Pass quest, are excited about it & most join in. Blind enthusiasm, always funny. A celebrity sex pass is as normal as lunch.

Once Gail gets to LA, the story progressively accelerates in both plot and jokes. John Slattery as himself is the comedy rocket launching this movie into the Fun-O-Shere. (We hate ourselves.) In two separate scenes, we laughed 30 seconds straight at John’s physical comedy. We’re not really laughers. Please do more comedies, Slattery. The movie spent a bit too much time with Joe Lo Truglio and the bad guys. Small quibble.

The movie works because Gail is sweet, naive & sees the endeavor not as revenge, but a way to make the perfect high school relationship equitable. She meets a cowardly photographer, a brainy agent & John Slattery. Yes, it’s a loose adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. Took us until the third act to figure that out.

Don’t forget this one to rent.

$$$

In Blaine, NE, there’s always been a legal celebrity sex pass. They work like Cameo.

Dial up your favorite almost-celebrity, haggle, pay, screw, go home.

Video extra. Not much more to say.

Oh, not to name-drop someone we’ve never met, but stylish on-his-way-to-legendary comedian  substack.com/@michaelia… is on Stubstack & a must-read. & in both movies.

Listening to This Week with The War Hawk,

They’re doing another hit piece against Platner’s consultants as an indirect attack on DSA. Can you think of other centrists candidates that have committed crimes with no pushback? It’s been a full week of attack. Cuomo, none. Swallwell, two days top. Plus, there should be 20/20 specials on Kenny Paxton. Attacking consultants. Fuck, the dems didn’t release an autopsy to protect the donor class. Only the foreign panelist mentioned both Plat’s policies as what voters want & the current feckless, power-protecting dems always represented by panelist Donna Brazil. She sucks.

Thou dost protest too much. (Stolen, probably from a cartoon or Snakespeare).

Finally, Lady G got the full-body sloppy tonguing he’s craved for on the morning shows. In one sentence they mention his stalwart loyalty. The next, that rascal Lady G used to not like Our Beloved Rapist President, but now does. Courage. Can we out this lifetime hypocrite?

These things come in three & can really end strong.

That’s it for now!
