The New Movie Trailer Reel for April 2026

Every month, contractually, we throw together thirteen trailer reels of new movies to recreate the theater experience at home to run before a new movie.

The idea is to find good, new weird movies to watch. We like horror, comedies & the weird. We tend to avoid blockbusters.

But sometimes, most of the movies chosen with a modicum of hope for quality, just plain suck.

That’s April 2026. April is a dumping ground for films.

We’d watch 2 out of the 13 movies in The Reel. Slim Pickens.

The two we’d watch:

Exit 8 Based on a video game, this horror picture has a Cube vibe, trapped in an impossible puzzle. There’s a high chance this movie goes to Crazytown. Trailer.

Winter Battleground There’s so many stale post-apocalypse stories around, this one looks like it has some promise. Trailer.

Movies That Probably Suck:

Busboys David Spade & Theo Von in a Joe Dirt hand-me-down. Pass. Another failed Man-O-Sphere movie.

Faces of Death In college, the original Faces of Death caused us to physically vomit. We thought the deaths were real. Found out later they weren’t. This movie has zero to do with the Faces of Death ‘documentary.’ Just another snuff film movie plot.

The rest of the movies seemed okay at best.
