A Confession: The Fiesta 13 isn’t a Christmas-focused organization.
We opt out. We leave Halloween decorations up until January. Not Grinches, just exhausted by a lifetime of Christmas capitalism ruining the festive season. So, we watch more horror than usual.
To strike a compromise, here’s forty horror movies from the 20th century with a Christmas setting. To create the list we searched the keywords ‘horror’ and ‘Christmas’ on IMDB. We started with a list of 75 movies from the 20th century & narrowed them down to 40.
In the last 25 years, there’s been a Christmas horror boom. The IMDB list spat out over 250 movies just between 2000-2025. In the last few years, we’ve seen three different Christmas horror anthologies alone.
We focused on the 20th century as most lists we see contain mostly newer movies.
